AI Skills Atlas 2026

A skills atlas is more than a catalog: it connects capabilities to domains, prerequisites, and adjacent concepts so you can see what to learn and in what order. This edition maps GenAI and data-science work using public sources, independent AI research runs, and explicit editorial review.

What the AI Skills Atlas adds

Learning order

Prerequisite edges separate what must come first from context that is merely useful.

Visible provenance

Every skill keeps its original 0/3–3/3 research-run coverage instead of presenting a false blanket consensus.

Connected context

Ontology links, role exposure, glossary terms, and learning references place each capability in a larger system.

How to use it

Start from a target, then walk backward.

  1. Choose one of the 15 domains or search for a target skill.
  2. Open its hard prerequisites before medium and soft supporting knowledge.
  3. Check the consensus marker, source, and field note before treating the node as settled.
Method and limits

A versioned research artifact, not a universal standard.

The map is opinionated and scoped to GenAI / Data Science 2026. Model agreement is recorded as provenance, not proof; editorial additions and missing evidence stay visible.
