Ghosts not animals

A metaphor: models are not evolved organisms (like humans) but "summoned ghosts" — entities optimized for entirely different pressures (text imitation, rewards for puzzles, human preferences on the arena). Hence their "jagged intelligence" and counterintuitive behaviors.
