Jailbreak Drift

A phenomenon in which a model's alignment safeguards gradually weaken over the course of long interactions with external tools and agents, or after minor system updates, leading to the spontaneous return of undesirable behaviors without an intentional attack. It results from the accumulation of context and distribution shift.
