Real-time deepfakes (Live deepfakes)
Live, low-latency face swaps and voice cloning that enable impersonation of a specific person during a video conference or phone call. It stems from the acceleration of generative models, which undermines image and voice as proof of identity. The FBI issued a warning about it in December 2024.
